When I build a new computer I don't believe in putting crapware on it. What is crapware? That is the software the comes on most new PC's that looks like a full program, but is really trialware. All of the programs listed below are real live, full versions. They are all free. A couple of them might need to be registered occasionally to remain running, but there are no other costs. You will also notice that unlike the Mac software there are anti-spyware and anti-virus programs included. Windows PC's remain vulnerable to all kinds of nasty stuff, even the new Windows Vista. Mac OS X so far, hasn't been attacked by them.
